It has come as a rude shock to the millions of his fans. The King of POP - Micheal Johnson is dead. Though I am not a great listener of English music, as a music lover I used to hear some of his albums whenever I wanted a change from the carnatic music or the never-tired listening of Tamil Film Music by the greats as TMS and SPB. Micheal Johnson was unique,always trying something new and always looks for perfection like our great KamalHassan.

மீண்டும் சவுதி வாழ்க்கை

அப்பாடா, ஒரு வழியா ஒரு முழு மாத சம்பளம் வாங்கியாச்சு! வேலை செய்யறோமோ இல்லையோ இதெல்லாம் கரெக்ட்டா செஞ்ஜுடுவோமில்ல. போன கம்பெனி போல தமிழர்கள் யாரும் இங்கு இல்லை. சில கேரளா நண்பர்கள், மற்றவர்கள் எல்லாம் வட இந்தியர்கள். முழுசாக புரியவில்லை என்றாலும் அவர்கள் பேசும் இந்தி சுமாராக புரிகிறது.

சுமார் 11 மாதங்கள் கழித்து மீண்டும் சவுதி அரேபியாவில் வேலை. இந்த முறை தலை நகரம் ரியாதில். படித்த படிப்பு தொடபான வேலை. அதுவும் 22 வருடம் கழித்து(என்ன கொடுமை சார் இது என்று ப்ரேம்ஜி கூவுரது எனக்கு மட்டும் கேக்குது)

ஆஹா இந்த தமிழ்ல எழுதறதே எவ்வளவு சுகமா இருக்கு. இத்தனக்கும் நா தங்லீழ்லதான் எழுதறேன். அது எவ்வளவு அழகா தமிழிலே மாறுது, சும்மா சொல்லக்கூடாது.மனுஷன் மூளை என்னமா வேலை செய்யுது.

After working and living alone in Saudi Arabia for 2 years, I thought of taking off for 3 months and be with the family before taking up the next job(preferably in India itself)But then came the SLOWDOWN in general and Stock Market in particular that all the expansion programs were put on hold. With falling stock prices and dwindling volumes,nobody was interested in filling up vacancies(unless it is totally unavoidable)
The situation became so bad by December 2008 that even the recruitment firms stopped recruiting for themselves.While I started spending times in my other interest in life, MUSIC, things are far from producing satisfactory results.Singing for your satisfaction is one thing and producing results in terms of money is another. Anyway, as always, I continue to believe that hardwork and conviction will ultimately succeed and so I keep working towards that goal

guinness record for continuous singing

Hallo,
I have been trying to find out the current Guinness Record for Continuous singing by an individual.While searching for the info, I found quite a few answers. maybe it has different categories, I dont know. one Korean lady, Kim Seok seems to have sung for 59hrs and 48 minutes with the help of karaoke music.
But the Times newspaper dated 23rd April carried an article that a maharastra singer Viraag Wankhade broke the Guinness record for continuous singing for over 28 hrs. I have been thinking abt this for quite some time now and has collected more than 600 karaoke songs.
So I want you friends, to find out the exact information and the currect record and let me know to take up the matter further.thanks
